Frequently Asked Questions

How much do you charge for a lesson?

A single private lesson costs $55. For more detailed pricing as well as current lesson availability please see our Lessons page.

Can I come see the facility and meet the horses before I sign up for a lesson?

Due to our very busy schedule, we require that anyone interested in seeing the facility book a trial lesson. Trial lessons are discounted to just $35 for an hour-long, private lesson. During this lesson, we will start with a short tour of our beautiful facility. The student will then learn to groom and tack up their pony, as well as ride during this lesson.

What will my child do in their lesson? How much riding time will my child get during their lesson?

In an hour long lesson, a beginner will spend the first 20 minutes of their lesson grooming and tacking up, the next 30 minutes riding, and the last 10 minutes untacking and putting away their pony. Our lessons are set up this way to teach responsibility and good horsemanship, and to demonstrate care, compassion, and respect for their pony.

What types of riding lessons do you offer?

We offer lessons in dressage, jumping, eventing, pleasure and equitation.

How old does my child have to be to start taking riding lessons?

Generally, we won’t take students under five years of age. We are very willing to make exceptions for children who have shown that they have the motor skills and attention span for riding lessons. We can also put you in contact with instructors who are able to take on students under five years old. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you are interested in riding lessons for your young children.

Do you offer adult riding lessons?
